2017 marks for REBAP Greenhills 30 years of professional leadership and excellence in the Philippine Real Estate Practice. As such, the Chapter decided that it must make this year extra special and a memorable milestone, by bringing high-caliber educational lectures and study tours, fun-filled chapter activities, and most of all, enhanced selling opportunities for our members.
We got off to a great start last January 12 with our “REBAP Greenhills 2017 Kick-Off” held at the Gabaldon Ballroom at Club Filipino, Greenhills. A whopping 81 attendees came and enjoyed the soothing serenades of International Filipino Baritone Mr. Andrew Fernando. They were then treated to a special talk of the evening by acclaimed Personal Finance Coach and Lecturer Mr. Randell Tiongson. The 2017 Board of Trustees was also introduced, and an evening of socials followed.
Next, the Chapter welcomed the Chinese New Year with a blast with a special Business Meeting dinner party celebration at Greenhills Uno Seafood Palace, where 60 chapter members and their family and guests savoured a sumptuous 8-course lauriat meal. It was an entertaining evening of games, raffle prizes, and fellowship, with a special talk by a Feng Shui Master.
Greenhills Chapter also officially entered into its first Unified Accreditation System for REBAP Inc., as Lead Chapter in partnership with DataLand, Inc. Our Chapter was well-represented in DataLand’s 2017 Sales Rally held on Feb 22 held at the One Corporate Center in Pasig City. Our Marketing Partnership Agreement was signed on Feb 28 and the partnership launching followed on March 9 during our 7th Business Meeting, both occasions held at the DataLand Head Office in Ortigas Center.
Our Business Meetings have likewise been highly educational. In addition to the Financial/Investment Planning lecture by Mr. Tiongson mentioned above, we have had ex-RDO Enrique C. Pinos of BIR RDO 43-B West share BIR updates and speak on tax issues that affect Brokers . . . . Mr. Andy Gomez, Jones Lang LaSalle Associate Director for Markets came and shared about current office market trends in the Philippines . . . . for our crop of newer members, we had “Documentation, from A to Z” by our very own PP Lebby Leagogo . . . . Atty. Benedicto Bacani, husband of our Dir. Rowena Bacani lectured on “Federalism and its Implications on the Real Estate Industry” . . . . Ayala Land, Inc. veteran and Dataland Vice Chairman Leo Montenegro spoke about “Branding in the Real Estate Business” . . . . and Colliers International’s Dinbo Macaranas, Senior Manager for Research, shared their top ten real estate predictions for 2017, with highlights on office, residential, retail, hotels, and infrastructures. Of course, our Business Meetings would hardly be complete without our guest presenters, among who are Cathayland South Forbes, Vista Land, 110 Benavidez, Security Bank, DMCI, and last but not least, our partner DataLand.
We have yet to complete the first quarter of 2017, but it’s already been such an eventful and busy year for our Chapter! With a strong and motivated Board composed of a mix of old and new blood, the plans for the rest of the year are on track. These include our Chapter Team-building Outing, our 30th Anniversary Grand Celebration, CPD seminars, professional growth through lectures, enhanced networking and partnerships with developers, and all-out support for this year’s National Convention. Truly, we are “REBAP GREENHILLS — BUILDING ON 30 YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL EXCELLENCE AND LEADERSHIP IN THE REAL ESTATE PRACTICE”!!!
