The Bicol Region celebrates the feast of its Patroness, Our Lady of Peñafrancia, on the third Saturday of September. In the center of all the activities is the Pilgrim City of Naga. Countless number of pilgrims, devotees and balikbayans flock to the city in droves to participate in the festivities such as the Traslacion and the Fluvial Procession. Various activities also abound during the one week event and one of these is the Civic Parade and Float Competition which took place on the 13th of September. REBAP Naga City & Camarines Sur Chapter grab the opportunity to participate in the activity in order to bring to the public its advocacy and awareness campaign for RA 9646 (RESA). The members took to the streets with tarpaulins bearing the message “Deal Only With Licensed Real Estate Brokers and Licensed Real Estate Salespersons”, while also wearing their chapter shirt with the said slogan. They even handed out flyers and fans where it stated that they should not transact with unlicensed real estate practitioners and the reasons why they must deal only with those who are licensed by PRC and HLURB.
The chapter is appreciative of the generous and unwavering support of the following developers in Naga City: BellaVita, Camella Naga, Concepcion Grande Development Inc., Enjoy Realty and Development, Corp., Eternal Gardens Naga City, Fil-Estate Properties, Inc., LYRR Realty (DECA), Sto Niño Memorial Park and Residencia Magayon. They allowed the posting of tarpaulins in their respective offices conveying the chapter’s advocacy as well as being firm in their accreditation only of those who are properly licensed.
With this small step of bringing RESA to the attention of the masses, they hope to help in the eradication of transactions with colorum agents.
